Introduction Letter:

We are pleased to welcome our newest doctor, Ryan Beyer, OD, FAAO, to the Bluffs Vision Care / Sidney iCare team.

Originally from Sidney, Nebraska, and a graduate of Sidney High School, Dr. Beyer completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. He then received his Doctor of Optometry, graduating with clinical and academic honors from The New England College of Optometry in Boston, MA. After graduating, Dr. Beyer completed his residency in hospital based optometry and ocular disease with the Boston VA Healthcare System, which included a stint at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear hospital in Boston. After his residency he moved to central North Carolina, where he practiced for nearly two decades in various locations, eventually settling into a practice in Cary, North Carolina, where he has worked for the last 15 years.

Dr. Beyer was born in Sidney, and most of his family still lives and farms there. While he and his family are grateful for their time and experience in North Carolina, they decided to return home to Western Nebraska. He and his wife of 20 years, Kristin, and their three children, Grant, Luke, and Grace, are excited to call Sidney home once again. Dr. Beyer is glad to be back where they can be closer to family, and give his children “The Good Life” he treasured growing up in this community.

Dr. Beyer’s specialties include the treatment and management of ocular disease and injury, contact lenses, pediatric and comprehensive eye care. He is also a member and Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry.
